Matt Wertz is hitting the road with Five For Fighting on a 27-city tour starting March 1st! Tickets for the first show at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT went on sale today.

Here is a sneak peak of the first 6 dates of the tour with more soon to follow:

Welp, this is it for awhile, folks- y'all cleared me out. DVD's, Books, Cd's, old merch, a GUITAR, for heaven's sakes. I need a little break to accumulate some more stuff to send your way, so this is the last #wertzwednesday for a little while- but it's a fun one, at least I think so.

Here's the deal:

When I was back home for Christmas I found some pretty fun stuff, that some of y'all might enjoy- a little piece of my history. Here's what i've got for ya this week:

A painting i did of my favorite pair of shoes. Yeah, I know a landscape might be more versatile, but how many painting of SHOES do you see any given day? RARE.

The 'Lawn Terminator' flyer that I made when I was 9 years old depicting a child on steroids, smoking a cigarette, holding a gun in one hand and a lawnmower OVER HIS HEAD in another. CLASSIC AND RARE.

A SET LIST from one of my first shows EVER! Dated March 27, 1999- the only recognizable song on here is Happytimes, unless of course you have the Damascus Road cd- which is totally out of print and impossible to get UNTIL...

NOW- I'll throw in a copy of the DAMASCUS ROAD cd I did with my college band in 2000. We only made 500 copies, so NOBODY has this thing, and after this, no one ever will!

I also will throw in a copy of the Christmas song I recorded and had streaming on my site over the last few weeks, called 'Christmas Just Does This to Me' - you cant buy it yet, so this is the only way to get it!

Last, but not least, I found a whole stockpile of old 8x10's - like from 2002 or something- I'll sign one of those badboys to the winner of #wertzwednesday too!

So, if you're anything like me, going home for Christmas break means sitting around and watching a lot of videos on YouTube and Hulu, so i would like to submit a few entries for what to watch while killing time with the Fam. I give you: New songs caught live on video by yours truly:

The first one is called 'Don't Come Easy' and it's a barn-burner, whatever that means.

This is called 'I Just Realized' and it's one one of the more special songs I've written- the chorus just says 'I just realized what you mean to me'. It takes you there.

This one is one I wrote with David Archuletta for his record, but i'm not sure if he'll record it. If he doesn't, i'm kinda thinking about putting it on my album- It's called 'Best Behavior' and it's sassy.

Hope you dig 'em, more new stuff to come...

Happy #wertzwednesday! This one is going to be GOOD!! I found this Baden A-style guitar in my closet that hasn't seen the light of day in awhile. It needs a good home. It's got a Rosewood back and sides and a spruce top and has a Fishman Aura pickup system in it- it's 2legit2quit!

@jamielynne82 is this weeks winner of #wertzwednesday! she's taking home the Imogene and Willie denim stocking filled with the music of all my friends! (see below). a lot of people have asked how we pick the winner- it's really easy.
